A New Year, New Blooms and a Most Scandalous Bucket List

Dearest Readers,

I do hope this note finds you well rested, well fed, and still faintly dusted with glitter from a most wonderful festive season, for we certainly were.

Santa, it seems, knows exactly how to win my heart, arriving with a rather scandalous Dahlia Bucket List of Beauties, all of which shall soon be joining the already excessive number of varieties residing here at Dearest Dahlia.

But truly… who among us can resist the siren call of yet another gorgeous dahlia?

Certainly not I.

As for the Dearest Dahlia field itself, she currently lies beneath a great tarp, quietly waiting, listening, and no doubt judging me as new ideas take root. This year, my intentions are clear: less quantity, more quality. The experience of picking one’s own dahlia bouquet must become something altogether more exclusive, more stylish, and oh so decadent. Think finer blooms, high tea moments, and an air of floral indulgence.

Naturally, such ambitions come with a rather tall order. Improvements must be made, plans refined, and hands kept very busy indeed, but it is an endeavour we shall give our utmost to achieve before debut day.

I will be updating the Meet the Dahlias page once the new beauties bloom and the photographer has paid a visit. Many beloved old varieties are making way for dazzling new arrivals, a changing of the guard, if you will. And it is here I must pause to offer my sincerest thanks.

To each and every one of you, the devoted dahlia fans who bought tubers; THANK YOU. It will be an absolute pleasure wrapping them with care and sending them off when the time is right. Your support keeps this little floral dream blooming brighter with every season.

I will be sure to keep you informed as happenings unfold in the field, as they always do, delightfully and occasionally chaotically.

Until then, Happy New Year, dear readers. May it be filled with beauty, bold plans, and blooms worth gossiping about.

Yours in petals and promise,

Dearest Dahlia 🌸
